How to publish your book by Cabureiwa Editorial

Publication policy Cabureiwa Editorial
Cabureiwa Editorial privileges original works with a focus on disseminating Brazilian culture in all its languages and promoting new authors. The works can be fiction or non-fiction and in any textual and/or visual genres.

1. Works for submission
The material for submission must comply with the following procedures:
1.1. Delivery of a copy of the definitive version of the work in two formats: .docx and PDF.
1.2. At this stage of the editorial process, original materials (photos, illustrations, paintings, cards, drawings, graphs, tables, etc.) that make up the work must not be sent, only digital copies.
1.3. Works originating from theses, course conclusion works, monographs and/or dissertations must be reformulated by the author before being submitted for editorial consideration, with a view to adapting them for publication as a book. In this reformulation, a more fluid and lean text should be adopted in terms of bibliographic references and footnotes, with uniform writing; extensive quotations, references and/or digressions — typical of academic works — must be edited. Academic works sent for evaluation by Cabureiwa Editorial without due reformulation they will be immediately rejected.
1.4. _Proponents must be ready, at any time, to clarify doubts and/or carry out reformulations as required by the editorial committee.

2. Text format
2.1. The originals must present the text with definitive content, projects, incomplete works or with parts to be added and/or reformulated later will not be accepted. The only acceptable exception, in this case, will be the incorporation a posteriori of a preface.
2.2. Cabureiwa Editorial You may publish collections by several authors as long as the originals contain all the complete texts, as well as all references from the author and collaborators. It is important to emphasize that the collective work must present a standardization regarding the writing of the texts, the use of bibliographical and footnotes, the presentation of the authors, in addition to a balanced arrangement of the contributions, avoiding the simple constitution of a mosaic of related themes. When submitting the proposal, it is essential that the compiled texts are accompanied by an introduction written by the organizer that justifies the edition of the collection in book form and the relevance of each of the texts to the set, explaining the unity of the publication. The organizer must also present written authorizations from all collaborators and be responsible for monitoring the editorial production of the book in all its stages.
2.3. Cabureiwa Editorial may evaluate proposals for the translation of works, as long as the titles contribute to filling gaps in the publishing market and/or help in the development of specific areas of research. Translation proposals must highlight the importance of the work for the area of knowledge in which it fits, explaining its relevance and justifying the need for it to be made available in Portuguese. For evaluation, the publisher must receive a copy of the work in its original language, which must be accompanied by the translation.
